As we process a claim, we also create an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This document shows you how much Select Health is paying towards your bill and how much you may be responsible for.

While an EOB includes the amount you may owe, it is NOT a bill. “

Basic Explanation:

EOB stands for explanation of benefits. It is a document sent by your health insurance company after you receive medical services. 

An EOB provides details about: 

• The medical services performed
• The cost of the services
• How much your insurance plan will cover
• Any out-of-pocket expenses you may need to pay
